According to Kaiser’s Health Tracking Poll:
The July Health Tracking Poll indicates overall public support for the health reform law is steady from June, while unfavorable views of the law have trended downward. Half the public (50%) now expresses a favorable view of the law, while 35 percent say they have an unfavorable opinion (down from 41% in June).
Half of the country now favors the law, and that is just a continuation of an overall upward trend. Apparently all that was keeping public opinion on the law down was lack of information about the bill.
Sadly, I’m guessing the percentage of Arkansans who favor the law is not 50% yet, not because Arkansans are somehow more enlightened and see flaws in the law that other states don’t see, but because they are still subjected to a deluge of stupidity from Republican candidates and idiot radio hosts trying to make political hay by lying about the impacts (good and bad) that the law will have.
